Error diagnosis: Others

Your file still contains our print template.

Producible with print approval!

Our practical print templates help you create your artwork files.

Unfortunately, our artwork is still in your print file and would then be visible in the finished print product.

Please remove anything from the layout that you do not want to appear on the final print.

Brochures must be provided in their entirety as individual pages!

NOT producible with print approval!

For products that are stapled, we require them to be delivered as individual pages. Please send us the pages in sequence, starting with the title page, in one file or individually and numbered, each complete, including bleed. The pages are then placed next to each other in our pre-press department.

Or provide a separate file for cover and content.

Please do not forget to remove unnecessary pages from the file before final saving. Desired white pages must remain in the file.

When transmitting individual files, the file names must include the page number. Sorting by page numbers in the document will not be done.

The applied perforation scheme is not producible.

NOT producible with print approval!

You have created your perforation in such a way that it is not technically possible for us to produce it.

Please change the perforation(s) according to our specifications or get the "Perforation" option removed from your job. You can create up to 6 perforation lines for your printed products, which must be parallel to each other. For 1-sided and 2-sided printed products, a maximum of 1 orthogonal (right-angled) perforation line is possible (does not have to be continuous from one side to the other).

Please also note the position of the perforation from front to back. (The perforation should be in the opposite position on the reverse side).

Tip: You are welcome to send us the placement of your desired perforation line(s) in the form of a preview file. You can send these to us in the same way as your artwork files. Please name the file accordingly so that your artwork files are not replaced by it. Do not mark the perforation line in your artwork files as it will be printed along with it.

Your finishing is not created as a vector.

NOT producible with print approval!

A vector graphic is a computer graphic composed of graphic primitives such as lines, circles, polygons or general curves.

Your finishing, however, was created with a coloured pixel image. Unfortunately, it is not technically possible to produce your product in this way.
Please create your finishing in vectors / paths in special colour and send us new artwork files.
Unfortunately, a print approval is not possible in this case.

You have not marked the perforation line adequately.

NOT producible with print approval!

The perforation has to be marked clearly to carry out the print job properly.

Correction note: Please send us the relevant information so that we can take it into account in production.

Stamps: Line thickness less than 0.4mm (1.134pt).

Producible with print approval!

Explanation: Certain requirements must be met for the stamps to be feasible. In this respect, graphic elements of the stamps used must have a line thickness of at least 0.4mm.

Correction note: Correct the line thickness of your elements to the minimum thickness of 0.4 mm or remove it.

Please note the following general instructions for creating artwork files for stamps:

Fonts and vector elements:

  • Create fonts and typographic lines with at least 1pt (0.4mm) thickness
  • Create fonts with at least 7pt size and 1 pt (0.4mm) thickness (serif fonts are not recommended)
  • Fonts should be converted to paths
  • Objects or texts must be created in 100% black

Images:

  • Do not use colour gradients, transparencies, colour halftones, tonal values or graphic effects (cast shadows, outward glow, gradients, etc.)
  • Images should not be saved in greyscale but as bitmaps
  • The resolution of images must be at least 600 dpi

For producing with the available artwork, we require an explicit written approval from you.

Please remember that this does not guarantee the exact representation of all lines and elements.

Sticker with part. Varnish / Signs: Line thickness less than 2.82mm (8pt).

Producible with print approval!

Explanation: Certain requirements must be met for theordered finishing to be feasible. In this respect, graphic elements used must have a line thickness of at least 2.82mm.

Correction note: Correct the line thickness of your elements to the minimum thickness of 2.82 mm or remove it.

Please note the following general instructions for creating artwork files for sticker with part. varnish:

Fonts and vector elements:

  • Create fonts and typographic lines with at least 8pt (2.82mm) thickness
  • Create fonts with at least 7pt size
  • Embed fonts or convert to curves/paths

Images:

  • Do not use colour gradients, transparencies, colour halftones, tonal values or graphic effects (cast shadows, outward glow, gradients, etc.)
  • The resolution of images must be at least 250 dpi

For producing with the available artwork, we require an explicit written approval from you.

Stickers with white underprint: Line thickness less than 0.25mm (0.7pt).

Producible with print approval!

Explanation: Certain requirements must be met for the white underprint behind coloured areas to be feasible. In this respect, graphic elements of the partial varnish used must have a line thickness of at least 0.25mm.

Correction note Correct the line thickness of your elements to the minimum thickness of 0.25 mm or remove it.

Fonts and vector elements:

  • Create fonts and typographic lines with at least 0.7pt (0.25mm) thickness
  • Create fonts with at least 6pt size
  • Embed fonts or convert to curves/paths

Images:

  • Do not use colour gradients, transparencies, colour halftones, tonal values or graphic effects (cast shadows, outward glow, gradients, etc.)
  • The resolution of images must be at least 250 dpi

For producing with the available artwork, we require an explicit written approval from you.

The resolution of the file sent is too low – at least 250 dpi.

Producible with print approval!

Explanation: If the resolution is too low, your printed product may appear blurred or fuzzy (pixelated). Whether a lower resolution meets your quality requirements is always a subjective assessment. Therefore, we cannot give any recommendation in this regard.

Important: For optimum print quality, all documents, images and fonts must be supplied at a resolution of at least 250 dpi.

Correction note: To ensure that your document has the correct dimensions with the appropriate resolution, you should make sure that the correct dimensions have been setup in the software you are using. If your artwork is 250 dpi, check the mm dimension of your artwork.

Create your graphics and images with the right size and resolution from the beginning. Increasing the resolution or scaling (enlarging) at a later stage leads to a deterioration in quality.

Depending on the software, you can enter the resolution and mm dimension directly. If only pixel dimensions can be entered or viewed, please note that these must be converted accordingly.

The formula for converting your dimensions is: Size in mm x (250 dpi / 25.4) = Dimension in pixels.

It is possible to print at a lower resolution or with serious display problems, but this must be explicitly approved by you, as the optimum print quality will not be achieved.

Advertising technology: The resolution of the file sent is too low – at least 150 dpi.

Bleed missing

Producible with print approval!

To enable borderless printing, we require a bleed in your artwork files. This is a coloured area around the printed image where the cutting takes place. Without bleed, white lines may appear in the edge area during cutting, so-called flashes.

The bleed should always be filled with the background area or background of the print image.

Please also note the required safety margin in the print image to avoid important design elements or texts from being cut.

Bleed is too small

Producible with print approval!

Explanation: The bleed is required in offset printing to enable borderless printing. If the bleed is too small, white lines may appear in the edge area (flash) when cutting your printed matter, as the machine may have cutting tolerances.

Tip: The bleed should always be filled with the background area or background of the print image.

We also recommend that you leave a minimum of 3mm, preferably 5mm, bleed from the trim edge for fonts and design elements to ensure a balanced visual effect (including bleed, 5 to 7mm from the print edge).

Your fonts are too close to the bleed.

Producible with print approval!

When placing images and text, leave a minimum of 3mm, ideally 5mm, from the cutting edge to ensure a balanced visual effect.

The margin for bleed must be taken into account accordingly.

For 2mm bleed, fonts and graphics should be 5 - 7mm away from the print edge of your artwork.
