Printing today is done online. With this statement, SAXOPRINT is now drawing attention to itself and the online print shop business model on your TV screen. To this end, we produced a package of four different spots in the first few months of this year. What makes them so unique? SAXOPRINT and its departments are represented by our employees – real people, personal and authentic. The protagonists and the work they do are presented in a cross media campaign, including display and print ads, as well as in our catalogue. Adapting the concept for television advertising was just the next logical step. In the following, we will present SAXOPRINT’s four TV spots and give you a look behind the scenes we shot.
SAXOPRINT advertises with its own employees
Not only media planners and marketing experts consider TV commercials the supreme discipline in advertising. They are the ideal medium to make television viewers consciously take notice of a brand, which makes this form of advertising an indispensible element of a balanced media mix strategy. SAXOPRINT has decided against treading the conventional path with its commercials. Instead, the company has created four spots that concentrate on the typical, everyday situations faced by their target audience. From a customer point-of-view, for example, the owner of a trade stand is presented, who entrusted the printing of his high-quality brochures to SAXOPRINT. Alongside our print production, presented by department head Thomas Aloé, we also provide viewers with a very down-to-earth and descriptive introduction to our customer service, production management and IT departments.
The conception and creative direction was entrusted to Sons of Motion Pictures and the PICMENTION team. As an e-commerce enterprise, SAXOPRINT’s intention was to familiarise the public with the advantages and benefits of online printing, and build up trust in printed products from the Internet by showing the dedication its own employees bring into the process. ‘Our goal was to show the faces behind SAXOPRINT,’ explains Sons of Motion Pictures Director, Florian Arndt. ‘It wasn’t just about big, fast printing machines; it was also about personal contact and the people who contribute to the finished printed products.’
We want to increase our visibility with the TV spots, communicate the many possibilities that online printing offers, and demonstrate our own authoritative position in the industry. Strengthening the brand profile and attracting new customers go hand in hand toward achieving that goal. First flight of the TV broadcast took place in May and June, and the commercial spots can, of course, also be viewed on our YouTube channel. All of our readers are cordially invited to take a look at our TV spots. I wish all of you lots of good fun and entertainment. We look forward to your feedback and welcome you to share our videos with your friends, business partners and co-workers.
The SAXOPRINT TV Spot – Printing and Finishing
In our production spot, we demonstrate the making of a brochure for a trade show exhibitor. Production is the heart of SAXOPRINT, and our team here includes the printing, finishing and shipping departments. We produce your print products with state-of-the-art middle and large sized printing machines. Depending upon specifications, your orders then move on to cutting, folding, gang stitching, compilation and binding. Print refinement processes such as perforation, UV coating and lamination are performed by our finishing department. Our shipping department guarantees that your order will be delivered on time. Our head office in Dresden has an excellent European connection network. We have made a large investment into logistics in order to ensure dependable delivery. We also invest in our own expert employees. Our productive efficiency just gets better and better, and we are proud of the advanced training and qualification measures we offer our employees.
In our IT spot, a young start-up company represents the outset for the transfer of your data to SAXOPRINT. The specialists in our IT department are responsible for safeguarding your data, as well as for making sure we provide you with a user-friendly website. The highly advanced IT infrastructure at SAXOPRINT makes it possible for us to contribute to your success. Our IT system administrators, developers and programmers take responsibility for the entire hardware and software constellation at SAXOPRINT. It is a very complex task: The solutions our IT specialists are responsible for have to unify the multitude of processes that go along with a large, state-of-the-art printing house and include the functionality of a high-performance online shop.
The printing demands of a restaurant serve as an example for the work our customer service team carries out. We offer you personal consultation so that every print becomes a SAXOPRINT. Our customer service team is the direct contact to SAXOPRINT and your expert consultants for every print product. We see our services through the eyes of our customers and are available to you from Monday to Friday on our hotline or by e-mail. If the need arises, we are open to unconventional methods and solutions. Two characters make all the difference to us: We turn ‘it’s impossible’ into ‘I make it possible’. We answer your questions promptly and proficiently. Our advice covers the whole product family at SAXOPRINT, our website, your order and uploading your print files.
As part of a multimedia presentation, an agency’s customer is provided with an overview of new product presentation possibilities. In our product management spot, we use gift pocket boxes as a demonstration example. In order for us to offer such a multifaceted range of products, our product management department unites the needs of our customers and the demands of individual markets and countries with SAXOPRINT’s internal resources. We coordinate all activities in regard to content and time in the best interest of a particular product. In order to do that, our product management team coordinates with each of the other departments and sets the foundation for turning a print into a SAXOPRINT. Turning needs into printed products demands the power of innovation, creativity and the ability to identify important trends ahead of time. Just as important are the impulses we get from our customers and suppliers, as well as from our co-workers in production, marketing, customer service and quality control.
