Today we continue our series with another great Italian designer: Fabrizio Morra. He is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator based in Turin, Italy. Currently he is studying Visual Communication at Polytechnic of Turin. He is married with letters!
Claudia: What kind of projects are you working on?
Fabrizio:At the moment I am overwhelmed by the school exams, but in my spare time I am working on some illustration, lettering, handmade objects.
I am also taking part as page designer in Graphicus Mag.
Claudia: Whats steps do you take when working on a ne project?
Fabrizio:Before starting a new project I try to do more research as possible, I love take inspiration from many different fields.
The research phase, many times, occupies three-quarters of the entire project. After that, I start to sketch & draw.
Claudia: What inspires you?
Fabrizio:Mmm…Maybe everything! I don’t have a designer that inspire me…I love to observe what happening around me, and after I note every single thing on my sketchbook.
Claudia: Do you have an identifying feature?
Fabrizio:I like to understand an idea as simple as possible, so I prefer to use flat color and clean paths.
Claudia: What is your philosophy in life or favourite quote?
Fabrizio:I try to be nice with the people around me, it’s rewarding speak with kind people.
